BIO

Marie Pyper is the Executive Director for Onyx Community Services and has held the role since 2019.

As Executive Director, Marie is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of Onyx, and leads the Centre’s budgeting, human resources, stakeholder, and community partnerships, in addition to leading fundraising, and dealing with client complaints.

Prior to joining Onyx as Executive Director, Marie enjoyed over four decades of experience in the financial industry. She worked in multiple areas, primarily sales, administration, customer service, audit, and personal financial advice, helping clients with their personal banking, business accounts, investments, mutual funds, as well as loan and mortgage accounts.

Marie’s experience serving a wide variety of clients across different business lines has well prepared her for managing at Onyx. While Marie was excited to join Onyx in 2019 following her retirement from the financial industry, she has always been actively involved in volunteering. Whether as a Legion member, as part of her local fair board, or assisting with youth sports, Marie greatly values giving back and getting to know her community. At Onyx she hopes to continue this passion by supporting the Centre as a

" one-stop shop " for helping those in need.
